Communications satellite being put in orbit for ISRO from French Guiana

GSAT-16, the communications satellite being put in orbit for ISRO from French Guiana in the wee hours of Friday, December 5, will significantly improve the national space capacity with 48 transponders.

India will test-launch its heaviest and upgraded rocket, the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV Mark III)

Sriharikota, told reporters here.

The experimental mission will cost Rs 155 crore.

it's a 630-tonne rocket will go up to 126km and then crew capsule will be detached and it will fall into the Bay of Bengal, 20 minutes after blast off.
