Give right of way to emergency vehicles or risk a fine of Rs. 2,000

Four months after the Delhi Government mandated that emergency vehicles be facilitated on the Capital’s streets through Green Corridors, the traffic police complain that city hospitals ‘aren’t doing enough’ to help in the enforcement of the initiative, which has the potential of adding precious minutes to their patients’ lives.

Violation of the said provision, proclaimed under section 115 of the MV Act which allows the police to restrict the movement of vehicles in public interest, attracts a fine of Rs. 2,000.
